Terms of Service
1What Revolt is
Revolt is a local discovery network operated by [Revolt App, Inc.] ("Revolt", "we"). Businesses publish posts about what they offer; people ("members", and members with Curator tools enabled, "curators") can vouch for businesses they genuinely recommend; and you can act on what you discover — including booking, attending, or paying for real-world goods and services.
2Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use Revolt. Users under 18 receive a non-personalized feed and protective defaults, and cannot enable Curator tools. By creating an account you confirm the birthdate you provide is accurate.
3Your account & username
You sign in with your Apple ID and claim a unique @username (3–30 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, periods and underscores; certain names are reserved). Usernames may be changed once every 14 days. You are responsible for activity on your account.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings; deletion removes your profile and content as described in the Privacy Policy.
4Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant Revolt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content within the service. Content must be lawful and follow our community rules: no sexual content involving minors, no harassment or hate, no graphic violence, no illegal goods or services. Content is screened before publication and may be removed; you can report or block any user or content from within the app.
5Vouches & paid endorsements
If a curator is paid or incentivized to vouch for a business, that vouch must be declared as such and is always labeled ("Paid / #ad") in the app (FTC 16 CFR Part 255). Undeclared paid endorsements violate these terms.
6Going places & the outcome fee
Payments for real-world goods and services are processed by Stripe; Revolt does not store card numbers. Prices are set by the business. When a discovery on Revolt converts into a real-world transaction or qualified lead, the business pays Revolt an outcome fee (a percentage of the transaction, capped, or a flat per-lead fee), the majority of which is paid to the curator whose vouch drove the visit. Consumers are never charged this fee. Refunds for goods and services are between you and the business; fee reversals follow the underlying refund.
7Curator tools & payouts
Curators are paid, never charged. Curator tools (the earning features) are available only to users 18 or older who enable them. Earnings accrue when an attributed conversion settles, and are paid out via Stripe Connect to the curator's connected account, subject to Stripe's onboarding (KYC) requirements. Curators are independent users, not employees or agents of Revolt. Curators are responsible for their own taxes; Revolt and/or Stripe may issue tax forms where required by law. Earnings obtained through self-dealing, fraudulent conversions, or manipulation may be reversed and the account terminated.
7aReservation program
When a vouch by a member who has not enabled Curator tools results in an attributed conversion, Revolt may reserve the curator share for that member for ninety (90) days from accrual (a "Reservation"). A Reservation is a time-limited conditional offer — not an account balance, wallet, wages, or property right.
You can claim outstanding Reservations at any time within the window by enabling Curator tools (18+ only). We notify you in-app when a Reservation accrues and again before it expires. A Reservation you have not claimed expires 90 days after it accrues and is released to Revolt; expired Reservations cannot be reinstated. Users under 18 do not accrue Reservations. [ATTORNEY: review the reservation program — escheat/unclaimed-property analysis and the offer framing.]
8Revolt Plus
Revolt Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription ([$5.99/month or $39.99/year]) purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. It unlocks extras and never gates core discovery. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation; the subscription renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and is managed or cancelled in your App Store account settings. Apple's refund process applies.
9Business profiles & claims
Some business profiles are auto-generated from licensed open data and are labeled unclaimed until the business claims them. Claiming requires verification. Auto-generated content is never presented as the business's own words.
10Safety, reporting & acceptable use
You can report or block any user or content from within the app; reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours (see Support). No scraping, no automated account creation, no interference with the service, no circumvention of moderation or attribution, no use of Revolt to violate any law.
11Liability, termination & disputes
Revolt is provided "as is". Businesses, not Revolt, are responsible for their goods, services, prices, and offers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Revolt's total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid Revolt in the 12 months before the claim. [ATTORNEY: jurisdiction-specific carve-outs.]
You may stop using Revolt at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with pending legitimate curator earnings handled per Section 7.
[ATTORNEY: governing law — Florida — venue, arbitration/class-action position.]
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in-app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
